John was born and raised in a small town in Massachusetts. As such he is not only an avid angler, but a fanatical Patriots fan. John spent much of his youth fishing.
Then at the tender age of 18, the U.S. Navy delivered John to sunny San Diego, where he has settled in to raise his family.
Though John has been an active member with ECBM for the past three years he still admits that it has taken him sometime to get used to fishing the local deep water reservoirs. It has been said that if you can catch fish in the Southern California reservoirs you can catch fish almost anywhere, and John strongly agrees. He points out that the conditions in Southern California are difficult because of the gin clear deep waters and heavily pressured venues.
In spite of the pressures and tough fishing conditions, John will not be deterred. Southern California may hold some of the largest largemouth bass in the world, and his goal is to someday land one of those monsters.
John has been fishing the San Diego Council of Bass Clubs Night Tournaments and AIM Marine Sunday Series in addition to ECBM events.
